Pelvic Clock® exercise device, invented by a former Olympic coach, is a stretching aid for chronic lower back pain relief. Recommended for lumbar spinal stenosis, hip pain, and sciatica caused by sacroiliac joint dysfunction.

Stretches for Tight Hip Flexors

Tight hip flexors can cause anterior pelvic tilt and lower back pain. Use the Pelvic Clock® to gently stretch and release hip flexor muscles for better posture and mobility.

STRETCHES FOR HIP FLEXORS

Hip flexor tightness is common in people who sit for long hours, repeatedly perform hip-flexion movements—such as cycling—or have weak core muscles.
The main hip flexors—iliopsoas (iliacus, psoas major, and psoas minor)—can shorten over time, leading to stiffness, pelvic misalignment, and pain in the hips and lower back.

Why Hip Flexor Stretching Matters

Tight psoas muscles on both sides can lead to an Anterior Pelvic Tilt.
When one side is tighter than the other, it can cause a Twisted or Rotated Pelvis.
Other effects of tight hip flexors include limited hip mobility, poor posture, shuffling gait, shortened stride, and tension or pain in the lower back.
Stretching hip flexors regularly helps keep the pelvis and spine in a healthy, neutral position.

The Risk of Overstretching Hip Flexors

Iliopsoas (iliacus, psoas major, and psoas minor)

Aggressive dynamic stretches—such as leg swings, hip circles, butt kicks, or lunges with a twist—can irritate hip flexor muscles and tendons, leading to inflammation, groin strain, or iliopsoas tendinitis.
Athletes, dancers, and fitness enthusiasts who stretch forcefully or without proper control are especially at risk of overuse injuries.

Pelvic Clock®: A Safer Way to Stretch Hip Flexors

The Pelvic Clock® provides a gentle, effective alternative to mainstream hip flexor stretching. It combines hip extension, rotation, and minimal elevation using your own body weight.
Effortless side-to-side pelvic rocking gently releases tension in the iliopsoas.

  • No aggressive pulling

  • No risk of groin strain or tendon irritation

  • Improves hip mobility in under 5 minutes

Stretch Smarter, Not Harder

Pelvic Clock®: More Than Just a Hip Flexor Stretch Tool

While the hip flexor stretch is one of its key uses, the Pelvic Clock® is designed for over 20 exercises that stretch, strengthen, and realign the hips and spine.
